Today was a great run day. What I mean is I am feeling better. We were on a good schedule after a few days of a little craziness. It kind of felt like things were getting back into a groove.

Wrapped up and ready to go.

Hello Herbert

More Herbert!!

I had a great first bit of the run. Got into the CRV to drive to the City of Swift  Current's City Hall. Where I me the Deputy Mayor and a local media reporter

A photo of the deputy Mayor and I getting our photo taken
We had a Run to Remember day declared and some press moments.

Swift Current visit was.......swift.

We then headed back. However I forgot to turn off my Garmin. So it recorded the distance to City Hall. So my run data was a bit off. It says I ran 59 km. However it was closer to 35 km. To be honest I have no idea. I do now that I was at about 28 or 29 km before we went to City Hall. Then I ran for another hour or so. So I was close to my usual distance.

The most adorable dog EVER!!

She almost became the Run To Remember Mascot.

So friendly!!

We were worried that road dog, who had crossed four lanes of highway to come check us out, would either follow me when I ran, or worse, try to get back across the highway. So I ran on.

While Melissa took dog across the street so it would not follow us. Dog's need to protect there heads as well.

So I am feeling better today. It's getting late thought I am now heading back to the RV to stretch and get some sleep.

  1. Hello David and Mellisa, I have been following your progress and am very happy to see how far you have gotten. You are going to be well known right across this country for this run and for all the money and awareness that has been raised. I hope you do not have too many pains in your legs. When you finish and you have a nice big picture that you would like to put in a fancy wooden frame I wood be honored to make and give you a frame of any size to both of you. I make a lot of hardwood frames when I am feeling good enough to use my power tools. The last week has been good for me and is gonna continue to go good!!! I wish you the best of luck and I know you can do it. Sean Deleau
