Then we were up and on the long drive back from New Westminster to Chilliwack.

Then I was off to running. The rain was on and off today but for the most part it was pretty flat and not to cold.

We got to meet up with Shaw TV who did an interview with us. So it's been a long day and I am about to head back home.

Hope to Rosedale

Hope to Rosedale by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details

  • Weather: Low of 2c High of 7c (35.6 F to 44.6 F) wet and getting warmer
  • Distance for yesterday: 41.08 km 25.52km
  • Distance for today: 39.79 km (24.72 mi)
  • Total Distance to Date: 7641.07 kl (4755.59 mi)

Today started with a drive to the District Of Hope to meet the Mayor. He was unavailable so we met with Councillor Robb

He was a great guy and really fun to hang out with. He was curios, intelligent and a good guy.

I was then on my to run some distance. Now we stopped running Saturday because the weather in the Manning area was just to bad. The elevation, the snow and the very narrow highway roads are just two dangerous for me to run on. With the CRV behind us there were to many close calls on the narrow tight windy roads. People just don't expect somebody to be running on the street.

It is very important to me that I don't miss a step on my cross Canada run. However it is also not worth an accident. So we are re-running we have already done to equal the distance that I would have run if we had continued on the Manning park road.

As you can see by the pictures from Saturday  it was hard to run and allow big delivery trucks to pass while keeping an eye out for oncoming traffic.

Yesterday we did not attempt to make up the distance as the weather was still bad. So we ran ahead and it was wet. I mean it was a good old BC rainstorm all day long.

Today was a little bit better weather wise. It was a little wet, and cloudy but not to bad. After the meeting with Councillor Robb I then plugged away about 20 km (12 miles)

After running for a bit we were off to Hope Senior Secondary.

Sometimes we don't have permission to take pictures of the kids. They were fantastic. Once again I am always amazed by the intelligence and intellect because at this age I had neither ;')

The talk went very well. Then I was back to running.

It was starting to get a little dark and we were on a bridge with limited passing room. So we called it a night.

On Saturday I had a really difficult day. The roads were scary, I did not feel safe. I was dealing with an ongoing illness, some weird skin itchy thingy that wakes me up at 3:00 am making me want to sand my skin off. Plus I felt like I had to throw up or fill my pants. It was not a fun day.

My body is also taking it's tole. My muscles throb almost constantly and I have all sorts of foot damage going on.

So I am exhausted, stressed, sleep deprived and feel my body feels like I had a round of ultimate fighting against Michael Bisping.

My anxiety started to rise so high. I was freaking out inside my own head.

I snapped. I fully broke down mentally. I had nothing left in me. I had no more to give.

I was able to run but I needed a couple of day's to reboot my brain.

I wanted this cross country run to do several things. 1) bring awareness to brain injury 2) prevent the preventable brain injuries 3) show a side of brain injury to survivors and others that while I am not the old me. I am still someone. That a brain injury is not the end of you.  I also wanted to show how this run effected me, my family, Braintrust and what it was like from my point of view.

So I apologize for the last two day's blog entries. I am so close to being finished. I have 11 more marathons to run. I am not going to stop now.

Ok I have to stretch and chill out now.

No Sasquatch was spotted in today's run by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details

No Sasquatch was spotted in today's run by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details

Today was 41.08 km. It was very wet and heavy rain all day. I have to make dinner, and prep everything for tomorrow, do the dishes, stretch and get everything ready for tomorrow. So I don't have time for a blog entry tonight.

A Mentally Exausting 40 km Run

A Mentally Exausting 40 km Run by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details

  • Weather: Low of -4c High of 1 c (24.8 F to 33.8 F) Dry and Chilly
  • Distance for today: 40.38 km (25.09 mi)
  • Total Distance to Date: 7560.2 kl (4705.35 mi)
  • Song of the Day:

Today was a very intense day. The road was scary, icey, and limited visibility at time. Very tight corners.

Do a dangerous stretch we moved forward and missed a bit. I will go back and pick this up when the weather is better, or make it up by adding some distance at some point. I am adamant about running every km (mile) of Canada.

I have been dealing with allot of physical issues as of late but I keep thinking I am almost done.

Today was very hard emotionally and I just don't have anymore in me today.

Copper Mountain to Manning Park

Copper Mountain to Manning Park by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details

  • Weather: Low of -7c High of -2c (21.2 F to 28.4 F) Dry and Chilly
  • Distance for today: 40.15 km (24.94 mi)
  • Total Distance to Date: 7519.82 kl (4680.26 mi)

Today was hard. It was great elevation gain and loss, there was allot of snow and ice as I ran into the incredible Manning Park

I had no chains on my feet.

1282 m above sea level
Now the roads in manning were very interesting. It was lots of tight windy blind turns. The roads were covered with black ice, sloppy side's of the road where the plows pushed over the snow. So I was running in some pretty thick snow slosh on the side. It made the run a little difficult.

However I had a great moment when I headed into this accident. Now I am feeling great there was an accident. What was amazing was here I was busting my butt up and down these mountains. My feet are cold and wet, I have been sprayed with that nice mix of melted snow, snow, salt and bit's of road. So I am heading down this tight turn. and there is an accident.

There where all sorts of people down on the seen, pictures, road crews, tow driver, ambulance, etc. Well as I got close they all started cheering me on. Not only cheering but cell phones popped out and the guy by the white truck who was video taping the accident, turned his camera on me.
I think it was 2 minutes of my 5 minutes of fame

That's me way down there.

Very icy road.

The Run To Remember Mobile's

Banff Baby!!
We drove ahead quite a distance at the end of the run to Melissa's parents house. Where we parked the motorhome. I got to meet her family and her nephews. We will be here for a couple of days. It was long day.

Passed Through Princeton

  • Weather: Low of -5c High of -2c (23 F to 28.4 F) Dry and Chilly
  • Distance for today: 39.92 km (24.80 mi)
  • Total Distance to Date: 7479.67 kl (4655.32 mi)

Happy Thanksgiving to all the American's read my Blog!!  Now go run off all the food!!

The day started with a visit to the Mayor Randy McLean of Princeton British Columbia

 And I was off.

I have seen many beautiful and stunning things during my run. I must say British Columbia  still blows my mind. Look at this gorgeous province.

Trucking allong in the snow. It an interesting run because of the black ice on the road. That's ice that you can't see. I had to be carefull because a slip at this stage of the run would not be fun.

No Badger's were harmed in this stretch photo.

Woo hoo!!
This is the sign that let's us know if we can pass or not. While the road was not closed it gave us some advice.

I am now running in Slushy & Slippery Compact Snow. Thank you road sign.

A nice steady consistant elevation gain today. I completely tanked at 39.92 km (24.80 miles) Near the end of the day it was a pretty steep elevation gain, the roads were slippery and my toes were going numb from the slushiness that I had run in.

Off in the distance at close to the top of the a hill I had run. There was a big fire going on. I hope everyone is ok.

Running From Penticton to Keremeos

Running From Penticton to Keremeos by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details

  • Weather: Low of 1c High of 9c (33.8 F to 48.2 F) Started of Wet and Windy, ended cloudy no wind.
  • Distance for today: 41.34 km (25.68 mi)
  • Total Distance to Date: 7398.93 kl (4605.16 mi)

Last night I did not sleep well. I went to be a little to late and I woke up about an hour or so after sleeping to an incredible itchy neck. It felt like it was on fire.

This neck itchie thing started the other day and I though maybe I was having a reaction to something. It is more likely however, that it is just really dry skin. It's also the part of my neck where my jackets and shirts touch the skin.

However the itch was just painful. I got up and put on some anti itch cream, took some cold medicine hoping it had some anti-histamine in it. If in fact I was having a reaction to something. Then I spent the rest of the night trying hard to scratch it. It drove me nuts.

Eventually I fell asleep and we were up. Melissa had to drive the CRV in to get some nails taken out of the tires of the car. This wound up taking much longer than she though.

I got my oatmeal out ready, and made my tea. Vega sent some product out so I had my Whole Food Health Optimizer and Pre-Workout Enegizer and a Performance Protein for Recovery (the recover was for after the run)

We drove to where we ended off yesterday and I got ready to head out.

SOSBIS (South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society) Came out to wish me a good run.
SOSBIS Staff came out

What a great group of people.

The run started off very windy and very cold.

Vancouver was not around the corner.

It was a long steady incline.

A passer by makes a donation

I kept my eye out for whatever animal that is.

I thought I saw it, turned out to just be bear.
The run went well. Lot's of elevation gain and loss today. However despite my lack of sleep. I had a good run day.

Just near the end of today's run. I saw this sign.

If you look close you can see the Emergency Number.
What I don't understand. Maybe someone can explain to me. If you need a taxidermy, I understand that. Why would it be an emergency? What kind of phone calls does he get that are after hours emergency's?

"I need this dear stuffed now, It's an emergency. Call the Taxidermy"
