Just outside Benton and almost to Appleton by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details
Today reminded me of a run in BC. The weather was above frozen ;') the wind was tolerable, and the rain was just like BC.
I had a great surprise by the RCMP. Cst John Fabian, Sheldon J Walsh, and Cst Jerry Goudie who were the traffic services drove with us through Gander.
This helped me pick up my pace as I had a cop car in front and a cop car behind me. I had to represent ;')
Great guys and that made think back to my injury (now I don't remember this but from what I have been told) it was our first responders who saved my life. The Fire Department were the first on the scene, followed by the police and ambulance. They came so fast that day. If it was not for these First Responders I would not be here, I would not be running, I would not be able to reach out.
So a very special thank you to all of you who risk your life's, who put others first, who are often forgotten and only remembered when needed. Thank you. You matter, what you do matters, and you keep us all alive, save, so that we can get up again tomorrow.
This is great. Glad to have you back on the grid too!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see some RCMP love but remember you still got 7 months of running with this lovely country, don't forget that!
