It was quite hot today. Fairly flat and the first half of the run went without incident.
I ran for the first two hours and then we washed (we: Melissa did) the RV and the CRV. Then we drove and parked the Motor home and drove back to run stop in the CRV and continued the run. The day got hotter and hotter.
At one point my heart beat went up to 155 and I started to get dizzy. I stopped and rested in the CRV and then waited for my heart rate to go down. I also put an ice bag on my head under my hat. This made the girls laugh. However I was concerned about another heat stroke.
I ran through the Trenton, Ontario home of the Canadian Forces Base. It is not only the home of the military but a training base for the Canadian Air force. It is one the hubs of all military transport in Canada to the world. It is the home of the famous 8 Wing.
There were a lot more honks today. That was cool. Still freaks me out a little bit. However I am slowly getting used to it. A few people drove up beside the CRV and made donations to Melissa.
After the run was done and I stretched for a few moments in a parking lot of a Dairy Queen. Then we all headed to the river for a swim. However the water was very rocky and I scratched the top of one my toes. Melissa and Mandy also had some troubles with a kelp attach. We then headed out for some Pho for dinner.
A special shout out to Maddox, Paxton and Kalen! Try to keep those stop signs on those buses. They need them for safe driving on the roads :)
All three of us are sitting in a Starbucks in Quinte West using the power as I finish my blog updates. I ran through this city a little earlier today.
