There is the Ferry. I will board tomorrow.

We ended the run at the Ferry Terminal in Horseshoe Bay in North Vancouver. Then Melissa dropped me off at home so I could get dressed for the Party at Foot Solutions Vancouver.

Foot Solutions Vancouver has a very special place in my heart because of the family that runs it. While they are very private people. I would not be where I am today if was not for all them. Not only do they treat me like family they support me and my wife in way's that have created such a deep relationship. They are truly very special people. I am honored to be a part of there lives. They are all amazing.

I decided to where none running clothe's It's been a while.
Christian who runs Foot Solutions Vancouver worked so hard to put togeather a fund raiser for the run. He opened his store up after hours, put together some drinks and food and just did so much.

My emotional response since my injury is a little off. I was really touched and found myself shutting down because of the amount of emotions that I felt. It was very touching all the people that came out.

Amazing group of people.

My incredible wife.

Thank you to Foot Solutions, to BDO, To all the people who came to the Foot Solutions Event. It means so much and it makes a such a difference. I was deeply touched, and so glad to be home.

We got home a little late and I needed to pack for the next day and the Ferry ride. So close to being done. Time to sleep.

Wow I ran over the bridge and ran past my home today. This area I know so well. I trained here for the Vancouver Triathlon, the Penticton Ironman and the Goofy Challenge (1/2 marathon followed by a full marathon) and of course my daily running getting me into gear for the Run To Remember.

Pattullo Bridge

Coming down the bridge

The CRV and New Westminster!!

When I got the bottom of the bridge I was in my home town of New Westminster, B.C.

I have put in so many hours on this road. I know it like the I actually remember something.

Paying attention to the road.

I ran into Burnaby and I wanted to make a ceremoniall lap around my training track.

Then I was back and running to Vancouver. Today was running through New Westminster, Burnaby, and to Burrard street.

All organized now for a full marathon tomorrow. Only 4 day's left of running

We finished off at a Half Marathon because we don't leave for Victoria for a couple of day's. I was still feeling a little off after my tooth removal. I have been running with guaze shuffed in a big hole in my mouth where my tooth was. Changing it about every 20 minutes.

Today was a day off. I got to go out for breakfast with my family (hi Junko and Sylvia) and clean my house!

This Was a Day to Remember.

Wow what a day.

We were up and off to Langley to meet the Langley Mayor and the Mayor of the Langley Township. We had some interviews and then were on where on our way to Richmond to my Dentist.

I then had to have a tooth removed at the dentist. That was not fun. The tooth had been needing some serious work about a month or so into the run. I could not let it go any longer. It was causing me allot of discomfort and headaches. So I had a tooth taking out and now have a bunch of gause in it.

Melissa then dropped me off at home while she went to prep the event at New Westminster Quay.

It was so cool. We had the head of WeCare there and my Boss Christian from FootSolutions and Brainstreams were all there.

 New Westminster Mayor Wayne Wright

Christian from Foot Solutions.

My Speech Pathologist Megan showed up. I wish I had had more time with people. However I got lost in a conversation with and

Thank you all for coming out. I look forward to Monday at Foot Solutions in Vancouver and then  I am almost in Victoria and dumping my feet in the Ocean

This is yesterday's run. 11/30/2011
It was a great day for running. The weather was a little chilly but it was sunny and I had the wind at my back.

Beautiful day and terrain for a run.

I ran beside the highway on a side road for most of the day.

Abbotsford.

Wow I am getting so close to home.

So I am running along and in my own little world. Waving at cars that honk and people on the street. When I see this group in the distance.

This was Melissa's Mom and all her co-workers, from MNP, who were out on the streets to support me on the run. It was perfect timing as I hit the two hour mark and was ready to refuel.
Thank you all so much.

I continued running and we passed Fraserway RV who supplied us with the Motorhome.

Thank you Fraserway RV you were instrumental in this event being a success.

I continued on stopped at the 37km mark because we needed to drive back to the Fraser Valley Brain Injury Association and went to a drop in meeting.

I was a guest speaker and as usual I am talking to the converted. I always feel comfortable being around people who face similar struggles. We are all fighting the same fight and I am always so impressed at the humor, the strength and the positivity of these groups. The people are the hero's I am truly the lucky one.

After I had my moments we heard from Debbie Abma who has been in contact with me along the run and is also a surbivor and a strong advocate for the Brain Injury World.

I also had the pleasure to meet with Carol Paetkau and Shelley Steele of Communitas. My time was so short with them, but these are the people that I want to connect with. If we all start working together we can make a change.
