Wow I finished. I have run across the country. I have run 7873.11 km. Such a feeling.

I don't think it's all sunk it yet. I will need a couple of day's to process.

My mission was to yell as loud as I could all across Canada about Brain Injury. I did not want anyone to ever go through what me and my family went through.

I met some of the amazing people. I lost so many memory's ;')

Today is the picture of the finish. In the coming day's I will post again my favorite pics and talk about the over all experience. Right now. I am heading to bed. I am tired.

Me jumping into the Ocean. I did it. One Ocean to the other.

Off to sleep. More tomorrow. I got all the time in the world. I don't have to run!!

Almost finished.

Duncan to Victoria. Sort of. by temporallobe at Garmin Connect - Details

  • Weather: Low of -4c High of 5c (24.8 F to 41 F) Sunny
  • Distance for Today : 33.04 km 25.53 miles
  • Total Distance to Date: 7843.29 kl (4886.27 mi)

What can I say about the last two days. They say a picture speeks a thousand words.

Early morning start. Going to be a busy day.

It was a little chilly however I had a few months to prepare for it.

I am on my Victoria.

A little bit foggy

Victoria 42 km away. That's a marathon. I have one marathon left and two day's to do it. Mind blowing.

Headed to a school.

The school was amazing. The kids were great and I was very touched by the card the made for me. They drew a pair of running shoe's in it.

I was then off to finish some distance before it got dark. However the drive back to where I stopped was now a bit of a drive in rush hour. There was limited window of sun light left. So Mel thought quickly and rather than sit in traffic we stopped and I got out an ran a portion of tomorrows run. So I start tomorrow at where I stopped earlier today. Then when I get to the point I ran today. We will drive ahead.

All I can say about today is wow. I mean "WOW"!!

Talk about sensory overload. It all started with meeting the Mayor of Vancouver Gregor Robertson
Mayor Robertson, Magda and some guy

The Mayor declared a Run To Remember day in Vancouver.

The paper was very nice.

We traded a Shirt for the Run To Remember Decloration. I totally got the best end of that deal.
We had a couple of interviews to do.

A good friend and someone to whom this run would not have taken place. Bill Vigars.
Thank you Bill.

With the Meet and Great over we drove back to the Ferry Terminal where I finished off yesteday.

This is Melissa's "don't take a picture of me" Face

Once off the Ferry in Nanaimo I got in my running mode.

Close to being done!!
It was starting to get dark and it had been a long day.

I plugged away 12 km and then back to the Best Western to crash.

Tomorrow is going to be crazy busy, however I am so close to dunking my feet in the Pacific Ocean.

We ended the run at the Ferry Terminal in Horseshoe Bay in North Vancouver. Then Melissa dropped me off at home so I could get dressed for the Party at Foot Solutions Vancouver.

Foot Solutions Vancouver has a very special place in my heart because of the family that runs it. While they are very private people. I would not be where I am today if was not for all them. Not only do they treat me like family they support me and my wife in way's that have created such a deep relationship. They are truly very special people. I am honored to be a part of there lives. They are all amazing.

I decided to where none running clothe's It's been a while.
Christian who runs Foot Solutions Vancouver worked so hard to put togeather a fund raiser for the run. He opened his store up after hours, put together some drinks and food and just did so much.

My emotional response since my injury is a little off. I was really touched and found myself shutting down because of the amount of emotions that I felt. It was very touching all the people that came out.

Amazing group of people.

My incredible wife.

Thank you to Foot Solutions, to BDO, To all the people who came to the Foot Solutions Event. It means so much and it makes a such a difference. I was deeply touched, and so glad to be home.

We got home a little late and I needed to pack for the next day and the Ferry ride. So close to being done. Time to sleep.
